Our aspiration is to create a maximum love of learning and for the children to know that they are all God’s beloved children. Each classroom involves age appropriate activities to further growth in each child academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Director - Vicki Hahn
My name is Vicki Hahn and I am ecstatic this is my second year as Director. My husband Kenneth and I have been married for 33 years and have 4 wonderful daughters as well as 1 grandchild and 2 on the way. We are so blessed with all of them. About 22 years ago, Kenneth and I decided to open Hahn’s Gymnastics. We have loved building and growing the business over the years. We get to inspire and train children of all ages through physical movement and play. Kenneth is now retired from the military. Our family moved back home about 25 years ago. Thanks to being a military family, my family loves to travel. We love to explore other countries, go on cruises and of course go to Disney to visit my favorite cast member (daughter Elizabeth). I also enjoy reading, cooking and painting. Working with children and their families has been my passion and love for most of my life. I enjoy watching them grow, discover, make mistakes, learn from their mistakes and blossom into the person God wants them to be. I am so blessed God has given me this opportunity and look forward to working with all of you.
Assistant Director - Camden Carter
Hello NPK Families! I am so excited to be returning again this year to serve Nativity Preschool in any way I can. I absolutely adore this school and community and have been apart of the NPK family for 4 years now. I have two children Boston (5) & Evie (2). We enjoy spending most of our time outside playing sports, hanging out with friends/family, or going to eat! I have a degree in Education and have been working in a school setting for 7 years. One of the most important things in a preschool setting to me is fostering relationships within the community of our school and having strong communication with parents. I am so looking forward to getting to know all of your children and supporting families throughout the year!
Little Angels

Ms. Heather - My name is Heather Shrader, and I have been married since 1999 to a wonderful man named Patrick. I have 3 wonderful children: Claire, Donald, and Reese. I grew up in Roanoke, VA and moved to Asheville in 2000. We moved to Hendersonville in 2001. We love the area and like to go river walking. We have a dog named Chippy. I love to read and walk. My kids went to Nativity Preschool from August 2002 to May 2010. I started subbing in January 2012 and was the assistant in the Little Angels for two years. This is my eighth year as the lead teacher and I’m very excited to be teaching here.
Ms. Stacy - I have been at NPK since 2015, this is my first year in Little Angels and I cannot wait to love on your sweet children. This is such a fun age as they begin to explore what school is all about. My husband and I have 2 teenage daughters who we love spending time with.
Amazing Wonders

Ms. Jennifer - This is my second year at Nativity Preschool. I have been providing care for young children for 19 years. I have worked with all ages. My husband Rick and I have been married for 19 years. I am a proud mother of four children, Sierra (24), Miranda (22), Hanna (step daughter 20) and Jaxon (8). I have a granddaughter Adalynn who is three. I moved here from Florida twenty five years ago. I have two dogs Izzy and Whiskey. I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family!
Ms. Megan - I am thrilled this will be my second year at Nativity this year. I am looking forward to getting to watch the Amazing Wonders learn and grow. I have been a preschool teacher for 35 years. My husband Mark and I have been married for 33 years. I am a blessed mother of 5 daughters and have 4 amazing grandchildren. I love being around and working with children.

Ms. Shelby - I am so excited to be in the Busy Bees again this year. My husband and I have two children Jackson who is in middle school and Sydney who is in Elementary. We enjoy spending time outdoors on hikes.
Ms. Emily - I am thrilled to be in the Busy Bees Classroom this year with Ms. Shelby. My husband and I have two daughters Piper & Penelope. We enjoy spending time as a family! I can't wait to watch your children grow this year!

Ms. Kara- I am ecstatic to be teaching the Shining Stars this year. This is such a great age of fun exploration and beginning that love of learning. My husband and I have two sons and one daughter. We enjoy spending time together outdoors and being involved in our kiddos school. I can't wait to watch your children thrive this year.

Ms. Lauren - Hi! My name is Lauren Coxey. I am truly excited to be a part of NPK again this year. I have fallen in love with the 3s. I adore their fascination with who they are becoming in this world and their love of learning in fun and new ways. I am looking forward to this career path and my first-year teaching. My husband Anthony and I have two amazing daughters Scarlett and Belle. Scarlett just turned 6 and Belle just turned 5. Our girls have been attending Nativity Preschool since January 2021. I was raised in upstate South Carolina and moved to the beautiful mountains of Asheville with my husband 10 years ago. Anthony and I graduated from Clemson University, and we love all things outdoors and of course, Clemson Sports. Go TIGERS!
Ms. Virginia - I have been at NPK since 2021 in the Awesome Owls. I am looking forward to another great year. I have two children and we enjoy family dinners and time spent together. I can't wait for another amazing year.

Ms. Katey - Hello, I am Katey Rogers. I started working at Nativity in 2012; during that time I have worked with all different ages. I am looking forward to another great year of love, fun, learning and play. My husband and I have a mini farm that keeps us busy. When I’m not gardening or playing with our sweet goats, dogs & chickens, I love spending time with family, friends and watching football… especially the Tennessee Volunteers!
Ms. Tracy - I am Tracy Dozier and I’m a Henderson County native. My husband’s name is Chris and we are high school sweethearts. We have a 13 year old son named Brady and he plays football and baseball. I have 7 nieces and 9 nephews that I absolutely adore. I love the Atlanta Braves. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, friends and reading. I am so looking forward to meeting each of you and loving on your wonderful children this school year.

Ms. Grace - I have my degree in Early childhood education and taught from 2008 – 2012. When my oldest daughter Charlotte was born I focused on my children until 2017 when my youngest daughter Eleanor started preschool at Nativity. When I’m not at Nativity, we love to hike and camp as a family and of course travel when we can. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to teach again and can’t wait to meet you and your child!!
Ms. Shannon - I am Shannon Kennedy and I have over 10 years of experience teaching Pre-K and working with children of all ages. I started working at Nativity in 2021 and it’s been a joy as well as so much fun to be a part of teaching and preparing children for that next step. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our 2 cats and our little dog Tucker, watching football and spending time with family.

Ms. Dana - My husband Lloyd and I have been married for 27 years and have 3 children. My daughter Caroline is a graduate student at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. My son Jack is starting his Junior year at NC State. My youngest daughter, Lily recently graduated high school. We have lived in the Asheville area for 25 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Child Development from the University of Arizona. I have taught for 15 years and this is my 14th year teaching Pre-K at NPK. I feel very fortunate to be able to be a part of the Sunshine Kid’s class and look forward to watching and guiding your children as they take those important steps toward kindergarten.
Ms. Kolleen - My husband Brent and I have been married 22 years and have two daughters. Our oldest,Abey, is in her junior year at Greensboro College. Abey is majoring in Biology and plays volleyball for GC. Our youngest Rylee is a senior in high school (I will need prayers). I joined the Nativity Preschool staff in 2015, however I left for 5 years and was at Reynolds high school. I absolutely loved working with teens but I am happy to be back with the littles! I am honored to be a part of Nativity again and I look forward to helping your children learn, grow and love school.

Ms. Ruth - Hello, my name is Ruth McBrayer. I grew up and lived in Hendersonville until I got the travel bug. For many years I lived in different countries teaching English to non-native speakers. Teaching Kindergarten in the U.A.E. was the most enjoyable experience. We returned from living abroad in 2020 to be closer to family. I taught at Hahn’s Gymnastics preschool in 2021 and then transitioned to Nativity. My husband, 8 year old son and I call Fletcher home. I look forward to helping your child flourish and thrive in school and life.
Ms. Susie - My name is Susie Heath. I love teaching children about God, Faith, and the love of Jesus. I have a background in youth and family ministry (Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies: Christian Education) as well as being a Camp Counselor/Area Director at Lutheridge. I have been a teacher at Nativity Preschool and Kindergarten for several years. Every night, I think about my “God Moments” and they are always about the conversations I have with the students. They are so profound and deep that it always reminds me to have a “childlike” faith. Thank you for blessing me with your children.
